Dvlp weekly plans & implmnt age appropriate curriculum (lesson plan) to nurture & stimulate all domains of children’s dvlpmnt in your care. Provide a developmentally appropriate classroom environment that reflects children’s learning & growth. On an on-going basis, plan, eval & improve physical environment in classroom to create opportunities to meet changing needs of dvlp'g children. Provide responsive care to all children by adapting daily care-giving routines & plans to interests & needs of indiv children & group. Prep dvlpmnt'l prog reports as needed, but observe consistently. Demonstrate cultural competency & respect for all children’s backgrounds by incorporating cultural, linguistic & familial values & beliefs into childcare prgm & lesson plans. Maint ongoing & open comm'n w/ parents & other caregivers. Plan parent conferences at least twice a year to discuss your children’s’ dvlpmnt'l prog'ns, needs & interests. Liaison w/ children's’ families to ensure smooth transition from home to child care setting & transitions betw classrooms when needed. Maint accurate, complete & timely client & agency records; Complete daily attendance, meal, nap, potty & activity records. Maint up to date emergency forms, curriculum plans, indiv child dvlpmnt profile & other records as needed. Complete daily health checks re: hygiene, safety, & overall well-being of children. Completes DRDP & ITERS/ ECERS w/ Assistant Teachers & Teachers Aides, & prep dvlpmnt'l prog reports as needed. Assure a healthy, safe, clean & developmentally appropriate environment for children. Assist w/ functioning & monitoring of nutrition & food srvc. Assist w/ supervsn of staff & volunteers. Conduct supervsn & observation consistently w/ Assistant Teachers & Teachers Aides. Ensure that Assistant Teachers & Teachers Aides are kept updated in all matters concerning classroom & prgm, i.e. Lead Teacher Meetings, lesson plans, policies & procedures, trainings received & etc. Complete yearly performance eval'ns. Provide functional training & guidance to staff, interns, substitutes & volunteers assigned to classroom. Report all staffing & classroom concerns to Director &/or Assistant Director in a timely manner. Report family changes in scheds & excessive absences to admin in a timely manner. Participate in on-going in-srvc & educ'l dvlpmnt opportunities provided by center. Participate in ongoing dvlpmnt & eval'n of center’s goals & objectives. Req Bachelor's in Early childhood educ, child dvlpmnt, elementary educ, special educ, or a closely rltd field & 6 mos exp working w/ children in an early childhood or educ setting. $39,900/yr.
