The Family Coordinator will facilitate communication and support services for atypical families with children and youth who have unique abilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD/TDAH), Down Syndrome, and other developmental differences. Duties include: Serve as primary liaison between families, teachers, the academic coordinator, ABA therapists, and BCBAs. Coordinate and document daily communication regarding academic progress, behavioral updates, and individualized student needs. Participate in interdisciplinary meetings with teachers and therapeutic teams to review student progress. Provide culturally informed support to Latin American and South American families, understanding social norms, communication styles, and family dynamics. Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in accordance with Florida educational standards. Assist families in navigating school processes, available services, and external supports related to autism and developmental conditions. Support crisis communication, behavioral concerns, and coordination of care across homeοΏ½school environments
