Farm Equipment Operator. To support the production of crops, including corn, cotton, and peanuts, the Farm Equipment Operator (Farmhand) will operate and maintain tractors and other farm machinery, attach implements, till soil, plant, cultivate, harvest, and transport crops to storage facilities. Duties also include performing routine equipment maintenance and basic repairs, as well as managing grain storage operations by unloading grain into bins from the field, operating grain dryers, monitoring and maintaining proper storage temperatures, and loading grain for delivery. The position requires the ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and at least 3 months of prior, relevant farm experience. The employee will also assist the Harvest Manager in planning harvest routes and coordinating trucks to haul grain from the fields to the storage facility.
